Sameer and shehab met twenty years ago when they both worked in the City of London.
Sameer is a London based Filmmaker and MA graduate in Filmmaking from the London Film School. His dramatic short films have been selected at BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals such as Palm Springs, Aesthetica, The London Shorts Film Festival and Raindance and have been licensed for distribution by the Sundance Channel, Sky Arts and Shorts International.
Sameer has had various non fiction commissions from BAFTA, Cambridge University and The English National Opera as well as having shot branded content for companies such as Shell, Castrol and Guinness. He has also shot a number of music videos and fashion look books for music and clothing labels one of which was nominated for a British Animation Award in 2015. Sameer has filmed around the world from Ethiopia to India, most recently has filmed a documentary in Ghana about African- American repatriation for the popular youtube channel Real Stories which also achieved 1.1m views in the first three months on Facebook Watch and Youtube.
shehab was born and bred in dubai where he lived most of his life. he emigrated to the US in 2008 where he worked in tech for a decade, beginning that journey at Amazon where he worked on the Kindle team. he then worked at or co-founded a series of internet startups, most recently he headed product at a crypto blockchain media startup based in NY. before moving to the US a decade ago, shehab co-founded and ran several creative culture companies in dubai (9714, five green, kitsch22, terminal, iBO, misuc, 50 degrees C).
he is currently creative director of kizikula.com in zanzibar, and forever a dubaian.
